BIONIC: My album review (PART ONE)

Okay. This is my first album review ever. I've never actually thought to do one before, but this album was too amazing to overlook. I have been waiting for over a year for her to release this work, and now that I have it, I realize that is was definitely worth the wait. But before I get into the review, let me tell you this:

I first became a Christina fan while listening to "Fighter" on the radio. At that point, I still wasn't really a fan. I became a true fan two Christmas's ago when I was given her Back to Basics tour DVD. I didn't really understand why I got it at first. I only knew very few of her songs. It took me a while to actually convince myself to watch it, but once I did, I couldn't stop. She had become my role model. I am one of her biggest fans. Many may argue otherwise because I didn't love her from the start, but I was only 3 when her first album came out. You can't really blame me.

Anyways, onto the review:
I'm just going to go track-by-track on this one.

Bionic: When I first heard this track, I started laughing. Not because it was bad, but because it was so upbeat. It felt like the song was almost overpowering. It's powerful up tempo sound along with the fun filled lyrics made this an excellent opening track. If any song is going to make you want to listen on, this is one of them.

Not Myself Tonight: I remember sitting at my computer at 5:59 waiting for this single to release. I didn't really know what to think of it at first, but once I heard the flashing "night" towards the end of the song. I instantly fell in love. The more I listened to the song, the less I began to like it. It wasn't nearly as catchy as her past three attempts. I felt like this track wasn't chosen for her fans, but for radio play. With it's mainstream sound it seemed like it would easily climb the charts. Right? Apparently, it didn't do nearly as well as her past first singles peaking at only 23 on the Billboard charts oppose to the others that made it into the top 10 (with the exception of Dirty which was saved by Beautiful). And then came the music video. I thought the video wasn't nearly as great as her others. There were so many references to other songs. Plus, the video seemed like she was trying to act more like the mainstream artists of today (especially Lady Gaga). Still, I remained hopeful.

Updating with the rest soon!
